Laura Bullock

First Horn

Instrument: Besson Sovereign Tenor Horn

Position: First Horn

Previous Bands: Mount Charles Youth Band 1999-2007

Profile:
Laura started playing the Tenor Horn after she saw her cousin Emma having such a good time.  She joined Mount Charles Youth Band in 1999, and she's loved it ever since.

Laura enjoyed being in the Youth Band as there were so many people her own age who she got on well with.  Then, when she reached the age of 20, she became too old to play with a youth band and had to leave.

However, fortunately for her, though probably unfortunately for them, Bugle Band took her in and it's been madness ever since!

Laura also plays First Horn for the Brass Worx brass ensemble: www.brassworx.co.uk

Memorable banding moment:
Playing in the Royal Albert Hall with Mount Charles Youth Band

Why Laura likes playing in Bugle Silver Band:
Laura says:
"I enjoy socialising with other band members, and I love playing in the crazy horn section!  The band is a lot of fun, it's not too serious.  We go away for competitions and have a great time.  There may be some drinking involved too!"
