Profile:
Nicky started to learn the cornet at the age of ten, under the direction of Bernard Sutton in St Austell Junior Band.  She then moved up to the Youth Band, playing on the front row.  Encouraged by Rodney Richards, she joined the St Austell B Band where she took up the position of Principal Cornet.

Nicky left St Austell Band in 1987, and after a few months, joined Bugle, first on cornet and then on flugel.  She left in January 1988 to start a family, and happily rejoined Bugle on Second Cornet in March 2006.

Nicky took up the Flugel Horn position at the start of 2007.

Memorable banding moment:
Playing in the Royal Albert Hall with the St. Austell Youth and "B" Bands;
Music blowing off her stand, followed by her stand collapsing at Bugle Contest 2007.

Why she likes playing in Bugle Silver Band:
Nicky says:
“The players at Bugle are very friendly people.  The level of commitment and standard of playing also suit me very well”.
