Profile:
Tony started playing in 1962 with Bodmin Band and his School
Band. He played with Lostwithiel Band when they were also the Duke
of Cornwall's T. A. Band; His Father was a regular army French Horn player
and Trainee Bandmaster with the the Duke of Cornwall's Light
Infantry Band.
Tony has also played with the St Austell, St Pinnock and Mount Charles
Bands. He has conducted the Tavistock, St Gennys, St Pinnock and
Lostwithiel Bands.
Tony's
mentor for many years was the late Joe Armstrong (St Pinnock and
Grimethrope Colliery Bands).
Memorable
banding moment:
Falling
off a stage!! Luckily no damage to the trombone though.

he likes playing in Bugle Silver Band:
Tony
says:
"The people at Bugle are very friendly - there are no Prima
Donnas! I like the hard work put in to Bugle Contest, particularly
the "march down", and the fact that there is good commitment
from everyone."
