Instrument: B Flat Cornet Position: Second Cornet Profile: At the age of 17, Kerry decided to take her grades, passing grades 3, 4 and 5. At 18 she moved back home to Cornwall. She played the flute just for fun at home, having a break from it until her son Matthew took an interest. This renewed her musical enthusiasm, and she passed her grade 7 at the age of 40. Kerry had always wanted to play brass, but the opportunity never arose until she approached David Jane (Band Manager) after Bugle Band played in the March 2007 St Piran Celebration in Roche. She started lessons on the flugel and changed to the cornet, before joining in with the band practice sessions at the beginning of December 2007. Memorable
